Chancey and David met in October 2022 on, believe it or not, a dating app. Chancey had just moved back to Raleigh from DC and David had just moved back from Wisconsin, so the timing felt truly serendipitous. After bonding over a shared love of tennis, college sports, and their dogs, they quickly made plans to meet up for a game of pickleball. When they realized the pickleball courts were a bit too crowded, they pivoted to getting drinks down the street and the rest is history.

David proposed to Chancey on a beautiful February morning in 2024 at her favorite spot on UNC's campus. He pretended they were just going to brunch but then suggested a walk around campus beforehand. It was the night after UNC beat Duke (!), so the lower quad was completely empty, providing an extra special private moment with the Bell Tower chiming in the background.

We can't wait to become husband and wife and to celebrate this special occasion with all of you, our family and friends. Thank you for being here and for being such an important part of our story.
